The main duties of the CNC Operator / Technician are: ● Create CNC Turning Part Program with the inputs of Engineering Drawing of the part including GD&T as applicable ● Setting of jaws based on the component diameter ● Tool offset setting ● Perform TPM ● Create a part program/ Edit existing program ● Part Program Simulation ● Define cutting parameters ● Optimize cycle time ● Verify the tool path / Program. ● Prove out CNC Turning part program (single block/Dry run) & modify it if required. ● And finally inspect the Job as per the specifications and correct the dimensions if required. ● Maintain work sheets or any other documentation as per industry practices
CNC Machinist 3-Axis produces machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating different computer numerical control (CNC) machines, maintaining quality and safety standards. Makes and load the programs for various machines like vertical machining center, horizontal machining center, CNC turning center, etc. Study drawings, measures the raw material required for the job to be machined and prepares sequence of operations, fastens raw material in fixture and respective cutter, accordingly. Checks machine setting or set it for stipulated machine operations.After machining, checks completed part with measuring instruments and gauges to ensure prescribed accuracy.Maintains the CNC Machines by checking the alarms, oil levels, oil pressures, coolant level, also preventive and routine maintenance.
