Air Cargo Management Executive is someone who coordinates and facilitates, expedite and route movement of incoming and outgoing cargo and freight shipments in airlines/Cargo agencies. They typically work in warehouses, stockrooms, or shipping and receiving stations. They facilitate shipments of goods and take orders from customers and arrange pickup of freight and cargo for delivery to loading platform. They also ensure that paperwork is completed, and fee is collected. Air Cargo Management Executive can opt to work with Airlines, Cargo Agency or become an Entrepreneur by starting IATA recognised Cargo agency firms. Also based on their skills they can join with Sales or with Operations Team in Cargo or in Airlines. Air Cargo Management Executive (Operations) keep track of the number luggage and has to ensure that all cargo or luggage is properly and securely strapped into the compartments. If a flight is overbooked, the Air Cargo Management Executive Operations must make decisions to remedy the situation in a way that will not negatively impact the schedule. He/she should works very closely with ramp personnel and the airport station manager for reporting and dissemination of information regarding airport activities and facility conditions, safety and hazards, and information services to the public. Should be able to deal with different types of cargo like DGR, Live animals and Valuables like currencies. Hence he/she should have a thorough knowledge about handling instructions, tracking of cargo and collection of proof of delivery. Air Cargo Management Executive (Sales) shall work with appointed Airlines/Cargo Agencies to introduce the cargo product in the market as a General Sales Agent and maintain sales and high standard of service to customers, control of cargo operations, recommend, implement and effectively control pricing, manage employees in compliance with the company’s regulations, policies and procedures. He should be able to negotiate agreements and resolves potential issues or problems with clients and expands existing or current customer base by recognizing and involving top cargo agents within the area. Other major tasks include required budget assistance, payment processing and staff scheduling
Cargo Booking Clerk is also known as Booking Assistant, Consignment Booking Assistant or Order Booker. Individuals in this role are responsible for receiving customer order details, checking market prices, availability and making bookings with transport companies to pick up the consignment. They are also responsible for going to the client location, checking the goods, preparing the Lorry Receipt (LR), updating the information in the computer system and billing.
Cargo equipment handler operates MHE to move, load/unload cargo in a port/ CFS/ ICD. S/he also performs basic maintenance of the MHE equipment
The individual performs manual cargo handling activities such as stevedoring, mooring and signalling the vessel and crane operators at ports. S/He is responsible for individual performance as well as coordinating and organising the team to achieve the defined task at hand
The individual surveys safe loading, unloading and secured carriage of cargo and also values the cargo
The individual allocates resources for cargo handling and container movement, plans and supervises repair and maintenance of containers, while overseeing operations and general cleanliness within a CFS or ICD.
Clearance Support Agents are also known as Clearance Process Executives. Individuals in this role are staff who work in corporate offices and are responsible for assessing additional information required for shipment clearance, contacting the consignee/consignor to obtain the required documents and submitting them to the customs to get inbound/outbound shipment clearance. They are a key part of the clearance team as they perform the role of customer-facing to obtain the required documents and update them on the clearance status.
The individual at work manages energy efficiency in cold chain by analysing data related to energy use, identifying inefficiencies and implementing ways to minimize them. The person is also responsible for maintaining equipment for temperature and storage conditions, undertaking water and effluent treatment in the plant and managing control systems of the refrigeration system components
The individual at work is responsible for managing temperature sensitive logistics planning, strategic human resource management, supervise product handling and effective performance in cold storage plant
The individual at work performs market and product demand-supply assessment for cold storage, prepares project execution and cost plan, designs plant layout, manages project execution of cold storage, select vendors and maintains relationship that is strategic to business and commissions the cold storage
Individuals are expected to drive the Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) tankers safely and efficiently on the assigned route. This role requires the individual to handle hazardous material and liquid medical oxygen. S/he should be able to handle most of the routine break downs that could likely be encountered while driving long distances and through difficult terrains. The individual is also expected to achieve other key performance parameters such as fuel efficiency, on time delivery etc
Consignment Booking Assistant is also known as Booking Assistant, Booking Clerk or Order Booker. Individuals in this role are responsible for receiving customer order details, checking market prices, availability and making bookings with transport companies to pick up the consignment. They are also responsible for going to the client location, checking the goods, preparing the Lorry Receipt (LR), updating the information in the computer system and billing.
Consignment Delivery Executives are also known as Delivery Executives. Individuals in this role are on-the-road staff who are responsible for collecting packages from the local office and delivering them to the customers at their doorstep. They are also responsible for verifying customer ID, collecting payment, if applicable and obtaining customer signature. They are a critical part of courier operations as shipment delivery is a crucial activity.
Consignment Tracking Executives are also known as Consignment Trackers or Consignment Tracking Clerks. Individuals in this role are responsible for tracking each consignment at regular intervals as it moves from origin to its destination along the suggested route. They coordinate with the truck driver, transport companies and transport authorities to update real time information on the system.
