The individual converts the extruded form of powder paint from the previous process, to achieve the desired particle size of powder paint, by configuring the air classification mill in line with the process chart and operating the mill.
The individual at work feeds the raw materials for premixing and operates the extrusion machine in order to obtain the flakes, for powder paint manufacturing process, as per company's or customer's specifications working under supervision.
The individual at work labels the empty cans, containers, drums or bags with the labels provided by the supervisor. Fills the finished liquid or powder paint as per the quantity indicated by the supervisor, seals the lid or bag, and packs them into carton boxes.
The individual at work assesses the metal section, understands colour, chemistry and finish required by the customer, prepares part for liquid paint application and coats it using recommended tools and machines to achieve the desired finish as per company’s standards or customer’s requirements.
The individual at work charges the recommended extender, pigment, resin, additives and solvent in the premix unit, then disperses the premixed material in grinding units such as ball mill, bead mill, attritor and sand mill, to achieve the required fineness/ smoothness, before letting down the mill base in the mixer. The remaining raw materials are added in the mixer and the final properties of the paint adjusted, as per specification.
The individual at work sample checks the intermediate products during the production process with specific tests as well as visually to ensure the end product is as per company’s or customer’s specifications.
The individual at work assesses the environmental conditions which the substrate has to withstand, prepares its surface, and then applies protective as per company’s standards or customer’s requirements.
The individual at work conducts specified tests and measurements on raw materials when they arrive from suppliers and vendors and also certifies that the finished goods are ready for despatch.
The individual at work prepares paint in the colour mixing or tinting machine as per paint-company’s shade card, colour code or matching panel, undertakes retail-counter sale and service and manages inventory at the shop.
The individual at work interacts with customers, understands their paint performance requirements, helps select the most appropriate paint, trains on application process, collects feedback on previously sold paint, ad offers the most suitable paint solution for a purpose.
